Production area: Territories of Nardò and Porto Cesareo (Province of Lecce, Salento, Southern Puglia)

Wine types: Red; Red Reserve; Rosé

Vine varieties: Negroamaro (80%-100%); Malvasia Nera di Brindisi; Malvasia Nera di Lecce

Alcohol by volume: 11,5% (Red and Rosé); 12,5% (Red Reserve)

Organoleptic properties

Nardò DOC Red is ruby red in colour with light orange tinges when aged. To the nose it is vinous and intense, the flavour is well-orchestrated, acidic, velvety and suitably tannic.
Nardò DOC Rosé is a light pink-cherry in colour. To the nose it is intense with a slightly lingering aroma, fruity and vinous, with hints of blackberries and raspberries. To the palate it is dry, rather warm, almost chamois soft, slightly tannic and quite tangy, full-bodied and balanced.
