Umami Ristorante (Andria)

Posted on Apr 11 2014 by Simona Giacobbi

Umami - interno

Menu
Three attractively priced tasting menus. Two/three dishes (meat and fish) to choose from for appetizer, first and second course. Local ingredients.
Food
Visually well presented dishes, with ingredients from the Apulian tradition, well balanced and revisited in a modern key.
Wine selection
Good selection of wines from Puglia and from other Italian regions. Average prices, but some wines are a bit overcharged.
Location
Easy to reach, just outside the city of Andria, in an old farmhouse. Nice outdoor patio for warmer months. Disabled access. Supervised parking. Hall for events and meetings.
Ambience
Elegant, clean and scented, adequate distance between tables. The utmost attention is paid to every detail. Staff is very friendly, polite and professional. Suitable not only for a couple looking for a romantic dinner but also for families and groups. Given the type of exclusive and classy cuisine presented, we would have expected a more cozy place.
The bill
Average bill for a restaurant of this level. For a full meal (from appetizer to dessert), you can spend more than 50 euros per person, wine not included.
