The faldacchea is an Apulian sweet with Apulian made with almond sponge cake covered with chocolate that dates back to 1700. It was born in Turi, about ten km from Bari and it has always been called ‘the sweet of the bride’. The faldacchea is moist and soft. The classic recipe is with cherry.
